Women’s Basketball Upset In La Plata

LA PLATA, Md. – The Community College of Beaver County women's basketball program, without substitutions and after making the longest road trip on the Region 20 schedule, metaphorically ran out of gas as the Southern Maryland Hawks scored the upset in a low-scoring affair over the Titans, 58-49.

Titans' Top Performers: 

• Both Brooklynn Medina and Josie Russell put on their Superwomen capes and did their best to will CCBC onto victory, as they each recorded double-doubles of 19 points / 15 rebounds and 19 points / 16 rebounds, respectively, in addition to combining for six assists.

• Kasaya Krause ramped up the defense, accounting for six of the Titans' eight steals (75%) as well as leading the way with five assists, adding five points and five boards to her total.

• Avah Williams logged five rebounds (three on offense), four points, a steal plus an assist while Aliyah Pack corralled a trio of boards.
